IRPMA partners with Taiwan Drug Relief Foundation and Taipei Blood Center to support families through blood donations
2025/09/22

On September 16, the International Research-Based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (IRPMA) once again partnered with the Taiwan Drug Relief Foundation and the Taipei Blood Center to co-host a blood drive with the theme of “A Blood Bag, A Warm Act—Protecting Families with Hope and Care,” bringing together 47 multinational pharmaceutical companies.

During the event, IRPMA President Grant Hu said that since 2020, IRPMA has co-organized the blood drive, contributing nearly 1,000 blood bags to help patients in need. He said that this year’s event not only echoes the theme of “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child” for the 2025 World Patient Safety Day, but also helps raise public awareness about the safe and correct use of medication through interactive activities such as puzzles and questionnaires.

Since its establishment in 1992, IRPMA has been committed to advancing the development of original drugs, promoting ethical practices within the industry, and enhancing contributions to public health. Its mission is to support Taiwan’s healthcare system and embody the spirit of “IRPMA Can Help” by taking action. IRPMA pledges to continue supporting public health through actions and collaborations with industries, government, academia, research institutions, as well as social welfare organizations to ensure that love and safety extend to every family.
