Some people complaint that a lot of hospitals stopped providing medical services on holidays after the implementation of the “one fixed day off and one flexible rest day” policy and after the commencement of referral system. The holidays medical services policy implemented by the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) started today with 308 community hospitals operating on Saturday and 115 on Sunday.  

Some hospital personnel said that community hospitals will employ physicians from large hospitals at higher salary rates so as to shorten the patients’ waiting time for consulting a famous doctor.
