NTU hospital physician who illegally sells Recormon may face charges

A nephrology attending physician with the surname Wu at the National Taiwan University Hospital was suspected of illegally selling drugs. The physician might violate the Physicians Act if he or she did not personally examine patients, write a medical order, issue a prescription or file a medical record. In addition, a pharmaceutical company might be charged under the Pharmacists Act and Pharmaceutical Affairs Act for dispensing drugs without referring to a pharmacist. Ministry of Health and Welfare emphasized that the local health department would take charge of the investigation.
