Many people were facing difficulties in getting medical services on holidays because a lot of hospitals closed for weekend and the registration for emergency treatment was expensive. These problems have come to an end after the central division of the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) increased the reimbursement for medical services provided on holidays last month. Such policy aimed to encourage hospitals in central region to provide medical care on Saturday and Sunday and has resulted in 90 percent of hospitals operating on Saturday and 60 percent on Sunday.
