2019/10/09

BIO Asia-Taiwan Preparation Committee Chairman Johnsee Lee said that this year’s event saw a warm turnout and that the organizer has reached an agreement with its global counterpart, the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), to build on this years’ experience. Next year’s event will take on the same format consisting of exhibitions, business matching sessions and biotechnology seminars with the aim of attracting wider international participation. Using BIO’s global one-on-one partnering platform, organizers are hoping to facilitate more than 3,500 business matching sessions.

Chairman Lee said that work has already begun for next year’s event, which is expected to attract around 2,000 attendees from 30 countries. The scale of next year’s BIO Asia-Taiwan is also expected to exceed the maximum capacity of Hall 1 at the Nangang Exhibition Center and become the largest biotechnology trade show in Asia. The Preparation Committee has begun working with BIO on the agenda, inviting speakers, forming the International Advisory Committee, and marketing next year’s event to a global audience to further increase international participation.

The 2020 BIO Asia-Taiwan is scheduled to take place between July 22 and July 26 at Hall 2 at the Nangang Exhibition Center. At the new venue, BIO Asia-Taiwan’s seminars, exhibitions, business matching and company presentations will be held under the same roof, which is expected to improve convenience, participation and interactions between exhibitors and attendants. Slated to be held at a much larger venue than Hall 1 of the Nangang Exhibition Center, 2020 BIO Asia-Taiwan will be the largest trade show of its kind in Asia.
